Just a two-minute walk from Art Basel, VOLTA Basel returns as one of the city’s most exciting and welcoming contemporary art fairs during Basel Art Week.

This year’s edition brings together 70 galleries from 26 countries, including 14 Swiss galleries, presenting a tightly curated selection of emerging and established contemporary art. VOLTA offers an environment designed for discovery and collecting — from first-time buyers to experienced international collectors looking to encounter new artists on their trajectory up through the market.

Members of the British-Swiss Chamber of Commerce are warmly invited to attend the VIP Preview Day on Wednesday 17 June, with tickets also granting unlimited access throughout the fair week, allowing flexible visits across the full programme.

Key curatorial highlights this year include Frische! - a section dedicated to 8 innovative, young galleries and Everywhen: Contemporary Aboriginal Art pavilion, telling the powerful stories of indigenous artists highlighting themes of stewardship, identity, and global cultural exchange.

VOLTA 2026 also introduces The 5,000 Edit: a curated selection of 20 artworks priced at and under CHF 5,000. The 5000 Edit is designed to make collecting more accessible, while supporting artists at a crucial stage in their practice.
