The BSCC Launches Technology Task Force at New Year’s Reception at Google




The British-Swiss Chamber of Commerce (BSCC) proudly announced the launch of its new Technology Task Force at its annual New Year’s Reception, hosted at Google Zurich.

This strategic initiative aims to foster collaboration between technology leaders in Switzerland and the United Kingdom, driving innovation and addressing critical challenges in the rapidly evolving tech landscape. The Technology Task Force will serve as a platform for thought leadership, exchange of expertise, and strengthening cross-border business relationships.

Chaired by our General Manager, Robert Dorlin, the founding members of the Technology Task Force include prominent leaders in the tech industry:

Theodora Costley-White, International Director of Technology Strategy for Restaurant
Brands International; Founder and Managing Director of the Women in Tech Coterie
Wolfgang Emmerich, Co-founder and Member of the Board of Zühlke Group
Barry Franck, Managing Partner and Founder, Tech Trust
Andy Millener, Senior Account Manager, Merkle
Jakub Novak, Head of Investment, Department for Business and Trade

“Technology is reshaping industries and economies at an unprecedented pace,” says Robert Dorlin, BSCC General Manager. “The Technology Task Force is established to support our members in harnessing their full potential and advancing with the latest technology trends.”

The New Year’s Reception featured remarks from HM James Squire, British Ambassador to Switzerland, HE Markus Leitner, Swiss Ambassador to the United Kingdom, and Dame Inga Beale, BSCC President, who discussed the enduring collaboration between the UK and Switzerland in technology and beyond. Their insights underscored the strong ties between the two nations and the shared vision for innovation, growth, and mutual success.

The reception welcomed 200 guests, including industry leaders, BSCC members, and partners, who gathered to celebrate this milestone and explore the vision for 2025.Key areas of focus for the Technology Task Force include AI, data analytics, cybersecurity, digital transformation and blockchain.
