Legal Update Teleworking

Teleworking is a form of work that allows employees to perform their work from a computer workstation outside the employer's premises. Even though many companies are
increasingly taking their employees back to the office after the pandemic, remote work remains a need for employees in our service society, particularly in order to improve the work-life balance.

Thanks to technological progress and constantly improving internet connections, remote work via the employer's platform now seems possible from anywhere. Employees are asking whether they may combine skiing holidays in the mountains or beach holidays by the sea with work. ‘Workation’ as a special form of remote work is popular among
employees.

From a legal and tax perspective, however, cross-border teleworking involves considerable risks and a number of pitfalls.

This event will use a case study to explain the legal risks, the need for regulation and what needs to be considered in international relations pursuant to the latest legal framework, with a focus on Switzerland's neighboring countries.

The event will be complemented by an overview of new court decisions on
employment law.

The event is targeted at people who work in human resources (HR) or payroll accounting.
